Out-of-the-box innovation might not be the most practical approach as the proposed solution might not be implementable. Like it or not, I need to work within a boundary and be forced to think within-the-box.
Roderick Chia is an Innovator, Entrepreneur and Educator, with extensive experience across multiple senior positions including VP, CTO, CSO and CEO, in multiple companies. With numerous award wins and nominations, he has had a monumental impact everywhere he has been.
As a graduate of Nanyang Tech University (NTU), Roderick would go on to be elected President of Technopreneurship and Innovation Programme at NTU. Since then, he has led strategic and technological endeavours for various companies, as well as founding his own investment management company rodVENTURE. He is also the co-inventor of the patented ‘RIDN technology’, for which he received his fifth Tan Kah Kee Young Inventors’ Award win.
Roderick is a true believer in innovation and out-of-the-box thinking. It is his passion for finding solutions to overcome real world constraints that drives him, and is the focus of his approach as an educator at NTU. This is true also for his role as a prospective investor.
